The premise of this manga is: what if psychics, spirit mediums, tele-kinetics (and others that can manipulate things based on mind alone) exist? Here, the anime has the edge when it depicts the fight because other elements such as the music or the use of colour can add to the tension".

Shigeo is an awkward but kind boy whose urge to help others and get along with them is bound up with the mental safety locks he's placed on his own emotions. It’s maybe not quite as enjoyable as the anime--since it’s lacking the beautiful animation and colours, and some of the gags are funnier in the anime with the incorporation of movement, angles, and better comedic timing--but it’s still definitely up there. Furthermore, the characters of his first name ( 茂夫), when read with Chinese-derived on'yomi instead of the standard kun'yomi, is "Mobu".

It is a lot like the creator's other work, One Punch Man, but with different powers and a slightly different setting.
